Climate Change

 Climate change is a very real and dangerous thing, that is coming upon us faster than we think. It is our fault as humans that our environment is going to go through this. The article says by 2040 there could be some major devastating changes happening to the environment that will be out of our control. There could be disasters including food shortages, extreme weather, wildfires, and a major decreation of coral reefs. This will all be because of the greenhouse gas emissions. They need to be majorly cut to give us more time. I think this situation is very devastating and disappointing. Knowing that humans have gotten our planet to the point there is not returning back to normal, only getting worse, is heartbreaking. And we aren't only bringing these changes among ourselves, it will effect animals and there habitats, and plants as well.

    Climate change is a very real thing and if we don't even try to prevent it, it will be inevitable. We need to find more ways that even people that don't believe in it will help.

    It is so sad to see how much effort we could be putting into saving our home, but we aren't. It takes a team bigger than the one we have to prevent or create resistance from what could potentially happen. Not only what could happen, but what is happening right before our eyes as well.

    This is from the site State Impact PA- I would think your summary would talk more about PA- As far as I know we have no coral reefs in our state. Did you click on any of the links? The statement that says PA is the 4th largest carbon polluter made me click. This is not an article, but a bunch of short paragraphs that link to longer articles.

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
