2020 tied for the warmest year on record

    2020 being the warmest year on record is not good because eventhough corona was a huge part of the year, global warming still was very bad. The article states "The last seven years have been the warmest seven years on record, typifying the ongoing and dramatic warming trend." With Joe Biden becoming president and him wanting to convert everything to eco friendly we have to hope he sticks to his word. If he does not I do not know if the human race will see 2100. The more time we wait the harder and longer it takes to reverse the actions.

    I agree that we need to change to all eco friendly. But I do not think that in the span of 4 years or 8 years depending on how long his presidency lasts, that we will be able to switch entire to be eco friendly.

    Well, now that Texas is getting snow, I don't know how much these rising temperatures stand now. That's the least of our problems currently. But part of the problem in Texas right now is their renewable energy. Texas was given government grants to build turbines for wind power. But with this cold weather, there is ice on the turbines and they are unable to run. Most of Texas does not have power right now. We're nice and warm in PA with our coal power, but we also know how to handle snow.

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
