California's Rainy Season

California has a rainy season every year where it just, rains for days upon days. Around 60 years ago, this rainy season normally occured late in the year around November/December. Except this year, it happened about a month later. This year California's rainy season hit during January of the new year.

I believe that the rainy season has occured late in California due to global warming, and how it is altering the atmosphere in ways that will allow less precipitation. Also due to these changes, California could potientially not even have a rainy season in the upcoming future.

  1. Global warming affects all types of things in the atmosphere including weather. California is generally dry, but does have short rainy time periods.

  2. Global warming has major effects on many different aspects of the weather, and the transition and length of seasons is one of them. Winters and summers are getting longer and more severe which could possibly push back California's rainy season.

  3. I agree that global warming plays a great part in the weather. In recent years especially, however we have been experience strange and unlikely weather all around the world. One example of this is the recent number of hurricanes per year. Overall I think that we need to treat our home better and make it a better place for living. Especially if we intend to inhabit earth for a long time.

  4. I agree and do believe global warming is the cause of this. I feel like we did not take global warming as seriously as we should have and now we are paying for the consequences.
