The Earth is Eating its Own Oceans

Out of all the problems we have right now, we now have another one. According to research. "At earthquake-prone subduction zones, where tectonic plates dive beneath one another, massive amounts of sea water are dragged into the planet's interior..."  So isn't that lovely? To be fairly honest, this is such a huge problem, I don't even know how we could possibly fix this. Think of the impact this could have on places that depend on sea water, or people that live close to bodies of sea water. Even marine life can be negatively impacted.

  1. With the sea water going down it could be great because sea levels are rising so it could be good. But when we need the water back it would be bad because lots could go wrong and lots of sea animals could die out

    1. Yea at first I was thinking this could potentially help places like New York with the rising water but there's no evidence saying it would just stop.

  2. This is crazy to think about. I also don't know how it could be fixed. This issue really could potentially be dangerous for both people on the coast and sea animals.

  3. This a quiet scary that we are losing water from plates moving. There is like no way to stop this. How is this happening for the first time, is interesting to me. Very scary stuff for areas and species that rely on this.

  5. Scary, I wonder if this could possibly create whirlpools or increase natural disasters?
