Anchorage Suffered a 7.0 Earthquake, but is Spared a Tsunami

Anchorage, Alaska experienced a 7.0 magnitude earthquake on November 30 around 8:30 a.m. Shortly after the colossal earthquake a tsunami warning was triggered. Multiple aftershocks occurred magnitudes ranging between 4 and 5.8.
Wow! They are so lucky that a tsunami didn't happen it would have been catastrophic! Guess some people that morning didn't need an alarm clock.

I heard about this in the news when they were predicting a tsunami and I felt very worried because not only is that an incredibly dangerous natural disaster but I went to Alaska last summer and it is such a beautiful place. Seeing the damage that was solely caused by the earthquake was upsetting but imagining what could have happened if a tsunami hit could have made things so much worse.
