Climate Change
By the year 2100, our climate will have gone through drastic changes, threatening our existence. Including the issues we have today with wildfires, scarce water resources, and declining crop yields, the world's climate will have a warming pattern of 3°C. Along with this change, ocean levels will rise 2 to 3 meters by 2100 as well as a shortage of water in drier regions. Because of these changes, people will have to relocate to areas that can provide them with what they need if they do not have water or temperatures suitable for growing crops. I believe that if the Earth continues to take on these drastic climate changes, the human species will not be able to thrive and exist for much longer.

I find this article to be very important because we are seeing new effects of climate change every single day and it amazes me how some people still do not believe in it. This article shows that we do not have time to be messing around because even though 2100 seems far away, every year until then things will get worse and worse. I do not want to see polar bears and many other animals go extinct because of this issue. I believe that the whole world needs to start putting better effort into fixing issues that are contributing to climate change, before its too late.
ReplyDeleteThis article is very significant because people don't believe that climate change is happening and is effecting every living thing on this planet. It proves that we need to start making a change even though 2100 is very far into the future if we take little steps each year we can be limiting climate change. If we don't start now every year there will be more drastic changes threatening our existence and the places that we can live that can provide us with what we need to survive.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. This topic is extremely important and it seems like a lot of people gloss over it. In order to make a change, it will take a lot of time which is why we should be worrying about it now. Some of our fresh water is found in glaciers and due to the climate changing, it is causing the glaciers to melt which means no fresh water. Along with icebergs, ice sheets, and icecaps melting causing the water levels to rise in the ocean. The quicker we handle this issue, the better our world will be in the future.
ReplyDeleteThe continuity of human life will be completely based on our actions as a race in the next coming years. With all the evidence found but all the denial had among our peers the effects of climate change will continue if a change is not decided on quickly. Overall, the fate of humanity almost exist with us.
