Trump's Administration's Actions Taken in Response to Heat Stroke Deaths Being on the Rise
At large, it seems as if heat stroke deaths are recently occurring across the whole world, fairly frequently. The causation of these deaths most likely being linked to climate change, due to the scorching temperatures in areas, as an effect of human-caused global warming. Therefore, it is clear that we are in need of a solution. However, due to a current call by Trump's administration, regarding the closure of the climate program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this has shut out an opportune path to a possible solution. Luckily, it is evident that the director of this once existent program, Dr. George Luber, while now being restricted to working at his home on other things unrelated to the program for a government job, is still trying his best to save the program.
As Climate Change Creates a True Public Health Emergency, Trump Administration Quashes Federal Climate Program and Exiles its Director
With climate change being a big topic of debate at the moment, this call by the government I feel is not pushing us in a way toward a solution, but rather ignoring the problem completely. Personally, I thought that this article was feasible in it arguing its point, for it included evidence regarding that this break out has been advertised as a public health emergency, and also followed up with specific occurrences of heat stroke deaths in certain areas of the world. In fact, the article specifically pointed out that there are football players each year that die of heat stroke. In which I sympathized with the most because I play a sport myself, and I don't think the idea of possibly dying while participating in an activity you enjoy, sits well with anybody.

The government needs to stop ignoring the issues of global warming, and address the problem head on. Heat Stroke is a direct response to global warming, and the fact that certain areas have had higher concentrations of death than others only proves global warming's existence, at least in some areas.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the government should be putting more of an effort to create a solution to global warming. Now that getting heat stroke is considered a public health emergency, it's even more important for the government to be involved to keep everyone safe. We need an environment to live in, but at this rate we won't have it for long.
