After reading this article it only support more that the climate is changing. Severe Avalanches seem rare normally, but after scientists saw two severe avalanches in one year, something had to be the cause. As unfortunate as it is, if the climate beings to warm up even more there will be more of this going on, and it seems that there are several cities in range of several glaciers.

This is kinda alarming but I'm not really surprised that this is happening. I'm more curious to see what the future hold in store for us. I do find it interesting that warmer climates around here seem to be getting colder, even though these glaciers are melting. Recently we had a cold snap around here in PA where the temperature was close to zero at some points if not colder.

    Isn't it strange that it was only cold for about a week and now most recently its been 40's -50's? Its the beginning of February. Everything should be frozen as hell right now.

    Now to see the temperature going up and yet just the cold temperatures shows their is climates issues. Which I guess this still doesn't open up the eyes to other people that climate change is occurring faster.

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
