Plastic is killing coral reefs

This is a scary thought to think that our human trash it causing more problems for the coral reef. We as humans are killing off the living things of this earth. The plastic that ends up in these coral reefs cause more virus to get into the coral and kills them. The plastic increases the live of bacteria that are getting into the reefs and affecting them. How do we fix this? Is there anything we can do to save the coral reefs? We could kill off all coral reefs are spread more virus around to fish and ocean life.

    Sad to see that we are destroying our environment at a quicker rate then we are helping it. Imagine the work that can be done if everyone takes time to clean up the planet instead of adding more trash to the environment. Hopefully we can introduce better education and technology to help people learn and fix the environment.

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
