                These two wildlife photographers took a video of a starving polar bear in order to raise attention to then environment. The reaction they got on social media was huge. This is an ongoing issue in cold climates today. Ice caps are melting, glaciers are disappearing, and our naturally cold animals will soon be gone. More research and more help about removing harmful gasses and substances from the atmosphere should be taking place. Losing one species or having them evolve to live elsewhere could throw off everything in nature, including humans.

    I think it is super cool that the two wildlife photographers took action in order to raise awareness. If more issues like this become public knowledge, the more change and progress will be made.

    I agree with the fact that word needs to get out about species such as polar bears that are ultimately dying due to environmental issues. Also the fact that social media is actually being used for something beneficial is a plus on the grand scheme of things.

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
