Cameras Allow for Closer Examination and Study of Animals

Cameras are placed in the wild to capture pictures of different ecosystems and the wildlife living in them. The cameras are put in areas where the most food is located to capture the most activity and variety. The information collected, is used to study the patterns of different animals. The cameras offer scientists the opportunity to study wildlife without disturbing it.

The cameras offer a great way to study different species that may be close to extinction and moniter their populations more closely. The cameras could also aid in protecting an environment from harmful activity by humans. The cameras create a fun and beneficial way to study wildlife without disturbing it.

  1. i think that its great that researchers are putting cameras in places that wouldn't disturb them. I also like how they're not capturing the animals to study them, but they're allowing the animals to roam around their habitat.

  2. I love this concept, & I'm so glad that it's a way to enjoy & observe nature without harming it. I would imagine this is how a lot of the footage for documentaries is captured since it would be hard to have a person film it without scaring off the wildlife. I think it's also a great way for endangered species to be monitored without further threatening the population.

  3. This article reminded me of the Eagle Cam. we would watch occasionally in school. The concept behind these cameras is largely beneficially not only to wildlife and the environment, but also to scientific research and general exploration of nature that some people may not get the opportunity to elsewise. By providing up close, and inside information on animal behavior and observing various habitats- environmentalists can get a better understanding of how to protect them, their foods sources, and homes. Not to mention, people are occasionally given the chance to see the rare and fluffy baby eagles if they simply take the time to look thanks to these cameras!

  4. I think this could be a good way to get more people involved. People love watching animals live and they create a connection with the animals. If the bond is formed, people will want to protect the species. For example, people get very emotional when they see a dog getting hurt even if it isn't their own. This could be a great way to get people to take action at home.
