Wuhan Rounds Up the Infected as the Death Toll Climbs Again

There was a mass quarantine ordered in Wuhan at the center of the outbreak. More than 70 deaths and 3,100 new cases have emerged in China since last Friday. This brings the total number of deaths in China to an astonishing 636 deaths. There are also more than 200 deaths caused by the corona virus outside of China. Local officials in Wuhan have called upon health care workers to speed up the process of making a vaccine for the virus. The hospitals and laboratories are under severe pressure to test for the virus.  The US centers for disease control and prevention said that has been working on a new vaccine and will distribute it to international laboratories to try and diagnose the corona virus. This is important because without doctors working to find a vaccine for this virus hundred of more people will get infected and die. This disease is very contagious and spreads very easily so it's important that a solution is found soon so that others are not infected. It is important that we understand the severity of the situation because this virus has become a global crisis.

    This is insane! This article was posted 11 days ago and the death toll is now double what this post suggests. This is a crazy example of natural selection and natural population control.

    The Wuhan virus is the most recent epidemic in our history, with previous events like this having occured before how do you think the situation could best be handled? Not only that but do you think events like this could be stopped from happening again and if so, how?

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
