This past hurricane season is coming to an end, but not without causing its fair share of damage and to the countries that it effected and their wallets. This past hurricane season was the most expensive season in the U.S. history. A Massachusetts Institute of technology meteorologist said that human influenced climate change could lead to higher intensity hurricanes in the future. If humans are influencing things like this through human influenced climate change, then why don't we try harder to reduce our ecological footprint and decrease pollution? I think the effects that climate change has on our earth are far more damaging than some people think and we should do more to try to stop making matters worse.

    Since not everyone in the world agrees about human made climate change this is a difficult topic to get everyone to help out on changing it for the better. I believe if more news was spread about climate change more people would be interested in helping the environment to better there lives and save possible money in the future.

    It is surprising to hear that we may be the cause of some of these earthquakes, but how will we begin to prevent more from happening in the future?

    I agree that we need to try to stop harming the environment, but i think to many people are in denial and just continue to live how they want without caring about their effects on the environment.

    Along with Savanna, too many people are in denial about climate change. But it is scary to think that this was the most expensive hurricane season.

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
