Why some flowers greet us each spring

Why some flowers greet us each spring

Flower's DNA cause them to survive differently. Annuals, will bloom every year and yet die every year, and perennials will survive year after year. Perennials will try to conserve alive cells during the winter to be able to regrow in the spring. Scientist are working on being able to turn non-perennials into perennials to make crops that do not need to be replanted.
.     I think this is important because it can revolutionize the way we grow food. The farming industry will become way more profitable. This can make food cheaper and change the economy.

  1. I think the idea of turning non-perennials into perennials is not a great one because there is probably a reason behind why non-perennials are non-perennials. Even though there is a point in saving money by not having to replant crops, how much money is going to have to go into the crop transition from a non-perennial into a perennial? By that time, is it even worth transforming the crop? Yes, this idea would revolutionize the way we grow food, but in the end, how much has to give in order to take?

  3. I get that this could be a good way to revolutionize the way we grow our food, I think we shouldn't alter nature, it's already giving us enough.
