What Happens After You Throw Away Plastic

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6xlNyWPpB8

This video talks about the life cycle of plastic specifically three plastic bottles. Each plastic bottle goes through a different scenario representing the three possibilities for what happens to plastic after we're done using it. Now knowing the three different outcomes to the plastic I use, I am much more inclined to make sure I recycle. I never realized how bad plastic pollution was in the ocean until watching this video and hearing that there are five giant patches of plastic floating in the water in all parts of the globe.

  1. I did a very similar post on this and the amount of waste humans leave around is astounding and disgusting. This is despicable and recycling should be forced to be done we need to preserve the environment.

  4. It is a shame to think that many people have no idea how littering will really affect the environment in the long run let alone the immediate repercussions that could have on animal or plant life.

  5. It amazes me how some people are not educated on how much plastic and trash affects the environment. Hopefully the education on this will grow more and people will become more aware of the harmful side effects of plastic to prevent further damage.

  7. Recycling is such an easy thing to do, yet people don't and it causes major problems. I think that it is important to recycle and encourage other people to recycle as well.
