It is estimated that 73 percent of Americans said that global warming is real and is happening. This has jumped 10 percent since 2015. When asked if people in the United States were being harmed by global warming right now, 48 percent of the respondents agreed. This is an increase of 9 percentage points since last March. About two thirds of the people surveyed believed global warming was affecting the weather in the United States. Half of those surveyed said that warming influenced last year's wildfires in the West.
