Petermann Glacier Recovery Evident from 2012 low

In 2012, the declining Petermann glacier in Greenland was a "sure sign of global warming". Now, 5 years later, not only has the glacier stopped its retreat and calving, but it has evidently begun to grow in size once again. Some of this can certainly be attributed to the high amount of snow and ice that Greenland received last year. However, it is fairly clear that the Petermann glacier was growing well before last year as well. For the most part, climate alarmists chose this, among many other events, to "backup" their AGW beliefs in 2012, and some what plausible, i guess, as 2012 was a very low year in arctic sea ice. Coming back to reality, however, and 5 years later, those same climate alarmists are silent, or worse, continue to harp on other climatic events even when their forecast from 5 years before failed and neglect their false claims from before. Back in 2012, this story broke the main headlines and media. Now 5 years later the opposite is happening and I don't believe I've seen any mention of the growing glacier or plan on hearing anything of it as well.

    Wow, that's interesting. I didn't know there was this much physical evidence against global warming I only knew about evidence relating global warming to things that occurred in the past.

    Know what makes me mad about this? Why aren't naysayers of global warming using this as factual evidence instead of flaunting pomp and circumstance?? No matter what side of the issue you are on, I just wish people would use facts to intelligently support their opinion when going public with it.

    (Not a bash against you, Evan... just a rant in general).

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
