Filipino-American Entrepreneur Is Building Bamboo Bikes to Improve the Planet

Okay, this is incredible. This man is taking bamboo, an ever-growing resource that is abundant in most areas around the world and turning them into a source of transportation. Not only is he using bamboo, which is so plentiful that none need to be planted to help his business, but he is creating a more efficient way of transportation for everyone.

Yes, bikes already exist, however none like this one. A bamboo bike helps get rid of some of the abundant bamboo but instead of using metals and plastics to create a bike frame, the bamboo is used which means less destruction on our environment. Also, the encouragement of using bikes instead of cars, trains, etc. could help us with our current climate issues we are facing.

One man's idea is a solution to two large problems in the world.

    It is amazing to see what people are able to do now-ah-days. The bikes are being made with bamboo a abundant resource rather than using metals and plastics. It is safer for the environment. This promotes the use of bikes or things such as trains and cars and can help the environment i love it!! But my only question is how will they A- get the bamboo and B- the cost of it a lot of idea like these happen but the creators are full of themselves and ask for way to high of a cost.

    This is such a cool idea! Especially with bamboo being so hard to get rid of. But, like Alex said, I worry about the cost of the bike. If it is expensive, the idea might not turn out to be a big hit.

    This would be absolutely amazing, but people love the ease and speed of travel by means of a motor. Would people be willing to work harder to travel slower just for the environment? Or have people become too used to upgrades in technology.

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2.
