Meteorite diamonds tell of a lost planet

I think this article is very interesting and kind of scary. The fact that we know there is another large planet out there that we have not discovered is a scary thought. Who knows what could be living or happening on the planet. It is also weird to think that the meteorite was very close to hitting our earth. Hopefully scientists will be able to find what planet this came from and how it was made.

    The amount of unknown things in our universe, especially space is a bit daunting and I agree, it would be good to have an understanding of the planet where the meteorite came from to possibly have a better insight into other formations that are out there.

    It's incredible how much of the universe we haven't even been able to explore due to difficulties in space exploration, I wonder how many years until we can, and if we can explore further.

    It is interesting to know that there is another planet. It is also weird though because we do not know if anything could be living on that planet. That is scary to think of that a meteorite almost hit earth.

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
