Birds Are Migrating Earlier Each Spring
A study released by Nature Climate Change shows that rising temperatures are effecting bird migrations. The migrations are happening earlier and earlier each spring. The study analyzed millions of radar scans to differentiate between migrating birds and weather systems, and it showed there was a clear relation between the two. But the rising temperatures causing the birds to migrate earlier effects a lot of other species across the country too. Their earlier migration also influences the growth of plants and availability of food. If the birds continue to migrate early, there will not be effective timing of spring vegetation blooms or abundance of insects which will effect the survival of these birds. If global warming continues this will have a negative effect on these birds migration and plenty of other species.
Global warming is a serious problem that needs to be addressed properly. There have been clear signs from wildlife across the country that the rising temperatures are negatively effecting their well being. The rising temperatures have been effecting every living species on Earth and if this problem is not taken seriously and treated properly than we could be facing serious lasing effects that will permanently damage our lives and the way we live.

Its crazy how the birds are migrating sooner and sooner which is causing other species across the country to be effected too. Is there any way of slowing this process?
ReplyDeleteThe only way of slowing this process is to stop global warming itself, but the best way to do this is always debatable. And if people tried to fix this issue it would take hundreds of years to reverse all the damage we have done to the Earth previously.
DeleteIf global warming is having such profound effects on migratory cycles do you believe that there would be a way to prevent or slow the effects on other parts of the world's cycles? If so what steps would you suggest?
ReplyDeleteI believe that because of the great amounts of damage global warming has done on Earth already, there is nothing we can do to instantly fix this issue. It would take years of hard work to fix the effects already done to the migratory cycles. If humans can't fix this problem then most likely the animals will adapt to these new cycles and evolve to survive better in these new conditions.
