Dust Bacteria could be protecting us (Brogan Coffin)

Scientists have recently been performing research on the spread of antibodies and it is now speculated that bacteria that enters the home through windows could develop a resistance due to antibodies that leave our bodies on skin. viruses that become resistant to antibodies has always been a scary thought and threat but now that this speculation has occurred it opens the door to a whole new world of fear. If antibodies can in fact be spread and immunity grown then diseases could gain a whole new level of strength. This scary thought is still in the stages of research but scientists say that something as small as changing the sanitizer you use could have major influences on bacteria's resistance.

I think that while this is incredibly scary to think about its also really cool. The fact that nature can evolve through something as simple as dust particles in order to combat itself is truly amazing and shows the pure power that mother nature actually has.

Acid Zone in Chesapeake Bay Found

     According to the University of Delaware, the Chesapeake Bay is becoming acidic as it has gone to 7.4 pH from an average of 8.2. The oxidation of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be the factor that is leading to the higher acidity levels in coastal oceans, but it can eventually lead to more of open oceans. Naturally the waters of the Chesapeake Bay have a regulatory system that holds back the increase of acidity levels in the area, and this works as the dissolving of living shells, non-living aragonite, and calcite minerals.
