Oceans are losing power to stop climate change

The oceans have long helped to stave off climate change by absorbing heat and carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The rate at which oceans are warming has doubled since the early 1990's and marine heat waves are becoming more frequent and intense. As the oceans absorb CO2, they are becoming more acidic and threatening the survival of coral reef and fisheries. The report projects that sea levels could rise up by 1.1 meters by 2100 if greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise.

I think that if we were to come together as a nation and work with other countries, that maybe would could work on taking back our mistakes, and decrease the damage that we have caused to the Earth. The fact the largest bodies of water on the Earth are starting to fail at their duties, is very concerning.
