Weather disasters to impact 2 out of 3 Europeans by 2100, study says

My first reaction came just by reading the title.  "Wow those numbers are off the charts."  Upon further investigation I found out that the study predicts 152,000 deaths a year between 2071 and 2100 due to weather related disasters as opposed to the 3000 per year between 1981 and 2010.  The article is very concerning and brings up the question, Is there anything that can be done to prevent this?https://wattsupwiththat.com/2017/08/04/weather-disasters-to-impact-2-out-of-3-europeans-by-2100-study-says/

  1. This is no doubt one of the stupidest articles I have ever read. First, where are the projections that show the increased temperatures methodically into 2100? If the scientists are indeed using climate projections that have been proven wrong and wrong again, then these claims that heat waves will continue to get worse should be reevaluated. Not to mention the current warm phase of the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation is entering a cool phase which will no doubt impact global temperatures, including Europe, and likely drop those temperatures. There are too many variations in weather and climate to predict temperatures into 2100.
