Living Zero Waste

Lauren Singer talks about how she came to the realization that she needed to changes her ways. Lauren stopped buying anything that came in plastic, she started buying in bulk, she started making her own products, she started shopping second-hand, and she downsized. Lauren also talked about the benefits of living zero. I think that producing zero waste might be over the top for most people, but I still believe everyone should try to reduce the amount of waste they produce.

  1. Yeah, definitely. Zero waste is pretty difficult to achieve, but reducing the waste we produce and being mindful of the products we buy and consume is important. Everyone should make an effort to reduce how much we waste.

  2. This is a really cool article and you don't hear about the waste that individual people produce everyday unlike large companies. It's good to see that people are still trying to add to the effort to preserve the world even if it isn't something massive.

  4. Its amazing to see the dedication, I don't think that its possible for most of the country to give this kind of commitment. If more people can live like this there might be a big change in the world.

  5. Transitioning to zero waste may be difficult but it wouldn't be difficult to reduce waste. I agree with this. Zero waste may be achievable but the lease people could do is reduce how much waste they use, and then maybe even slowly begin living zero.

  7. This is a very cool thing to do. By using zero waste, she is saving the environment and she is making a big impact. I also think it is a very hard thing to achieve and it may be hard, but if everyone started cutting back the the environment would be so much better.
