Gigantic Cavity in Antarctica Glacier Is a Product of Rapid Melting, Study Finds
A massive cavity in the Thwaites glacier has been found by NASA. This particular glacier has been responsible for almost 4% of the worlds rising sea levels in past years. The glacier is so massive it holds enough water to rise sea levels by over two feet. These giant cavities within the glaciers are formed by warm currents carving out the ice. This in turn allows for more warm currents to flow making the glacier deteriorate quicker.
This is kinda scary to see because even a 2 foot difference could sink major cities and towns are increase the amount of warm water in the world
