An Island Goes Trash Free

Bornholm island in Denmark has decided to go completely trash free and recycle all of the trash that they produce. They have a total of 40,000 inhabitants and 600,000 tourists each year. By 2023, Danish officials claim that all waste on Bornholm will be treated as a resource. They have a vision, but have not articulated a clear cut plan of how to attain this goal.
I think this is a really good idea, however they will need to strategically plan this in order for it to actually work.

I agree. In theory, this idea is very promising, but I am not sure how they will execute it properly.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea, doing their part in helping the Earth, however, not having a plan yet and wanting this to be achieved by 2023 is very hard to do and chances are, it will take many more years to do so
