Rescuers had to walk for 2 miles to save a sheep stuck in a river estuary. The sheep was found near Bridegemarsh Marina at Althorne on the River crouch when the Southend Coastguard was called to help the Essex fire and Rescue service. They joined firefighters on a 2 mile walk to help save the sheep and bring it to safety. The sheep was successfully saved and many puns on Facebook started after that.

  1. This is nice that the sheep could be saved. I hope the environment will benefit from this in the future.
