Gelada monkeys eat grass and sleep on the sides of cliffs while predators like hyenas are waiting to kill them. This primate spends its days searching for vegetation in the savanna along Africa's roof. Their nights consist of hiding in cold, wet, and dark areas. It is not clear how many of these monkeys there are with estimate ranging from a few thousand to hundreds of thousands.
