Sea turtles are born mostly females

Because climate changes we are having more turtles born female. The numbers are that 116 to 1. This could be a problem because they could go extinct because they don't have enough males to reproduce.

  1. This is interesting that climate change is affecting the sex of sea turtles being born. I never knew that that was a thing, and it is quite an interesting topic. In addition, I do agree that this could be a problem because if the ratio of females to males is 116 to 1, then there will be a point in time where there are not enough males to help females reproduce. However, if we do cut back on carbon emissions, will the ratio change? Would the number of females decrease and the number of males increase? Or would the females stay the same and the males would increase? Or vice versa?

  2. I didn't know that this could be an effect of climate change. I wonder if this is happening to any other species
