The world's oceans are becoming stormier -- and that's bad news for coastal communities

In the past 33 years, oceans have become stormier. There are larger, strong waves and also stronger winds. It is thought that climate change and weather phenomena like El Nino have an effect on this. Stormier oceans can lead to coastal flooding and faster erosion. This is dangerous to communities that live on the coast.

This is yet another example of how our earth's weather patterns are negatively changing throughout the years. I think that if this pattern continues, we should make efforts to look into some sort of  technology so that we can stop the effect that these ocean storms have on our coastal communities.

  1. This is unfortunate because many of our major cities are along the coast and much of our infrastructure is at risk. Developing technologies to combat this is the right step.
